A new digital platform for the development of financial literacy is presented at the Moscow Financial Forum

On September 8, a presentation of a new resource for financial education and education took place at the V Moscow Financial Forum.

The moifinances platform.Russian Federation It will bring together experts and regions to help people understand vital issues about personal and public finances, as well as give feedback to financial education professionals.

The stand of the new portal at the forum was visited by the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin. He thanked the Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Anton Siluanov and the team of the expanded department, including the NIFI of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, for their work in the field of financial education. "You are engaged in a very important business – you help people first of all to understand not only their finances, but also not to make mistakes, not to get into a difficult life situation. This is something that worries everyone, " he stressed.

Speaking at the plenary session of the forum, the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation returned to the topic of improving financial literacy and noted that the priority in the work of the state, business and public organizations should be a person, his family, quality of life, health protection and creating a comfortable environment around.

"Educational and educational programs should significantly increase the stability of family budgets... This is an extremely popular activity, and we will support the efforts of public and private organizations in this area in every possible way, "M. Mishustin said." We were once again convinced of this today when we met with activists of the Finzozh movement. The abbreviation, I think, is understandable without decoding."

According to Mikhail Mishustin, the formation of a new financial culture is in the interests of society itself, so it is necessary to include citizens themselves in this work, while maintaining the coordinating role of state institutions at the federal and regional levels. "At the same time, I draw the attention of representatives of the regions that their role in this work is key," he stressed.

As part of state programs to improve financial literacy, it is very important to tell people about public finances, how budgets are formed at the local level and how citizens can influence their distribution in their region or municipality.
"It is very important that the portal gives citizens the most up-to-date information, would focus on today's, and not yesterday's challenges. And better – even tomorrow's ones! " - said Deputy Finance Minister Mikhail Kotyukov.

Vladimir Nazarov, Director of the NIFI of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, noted that today technologies and life in general are changing so quickly and unpredictably that sometimes you have to re-learn how to control and systematize information. "Plan expenses and savings for a long time, resist scammers and aggressive sellers, master digital innovations. And then there's the pandemic. Without exaggeration, it has changed the way of life of hundreds of millions of people. I changed their financial behavior and plans, " he added.

The portal "My Finance" is a digital platform for the development of financial literacy in Russia, functioning on the principle of customer orientation. The information and visual components of the service are created taking into account the results of sociological research, analysis of search queries, and activity in social networks. The portal presents materials selected in accordance with the most common queries on the topic of personal finance in search engines and social networks. These are, in particular, tips on specific life situations: how to get state support – social benefits, tax deductions; protect yourself from scammers; correctly issue and pay a mortgage; learn how to plan a personal budget and save; find the right words in conversations about money with children.

As part of the presentation, another educational initiative was presented - the All-Russian Financial Literacy Test, launched today by Post Bank, PS Mir and the Financial Literacy Center of the NIFI of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation. It is designed primarily for representatives of the older generation and will help to introduce them to the rules of safe use of cards on the Internet and online purchases.

Since September 8, the My Finance portal has been operating in a pilot mode, since October 1, 2021, more features will be available to users, and later it is planned to further expand and improve the functionality of the site.
