International payment systems have decided to limit their work in Russia. This decision will not affect the operation of Sberbank Visa and MasterCard cards within the country. All cards of Sberbank customers work, they can be used to perform operations on the territory of Russia — withdraw cash, make transfers by card number, pay both in offline stores and in Russian online stores. This is possible because in Russia all payments pass through the domestic NSPK system and are independent of foreign payment solutions. Payments abroad and in foreign online stores from Russian cards issued by Visa and MasterCard are already limited. Previously, we recommended that Russians who are abroad withdraw a sufficient amount of cash in advance and prepay large expenses (hotels, tickets). In a number of foreign countries, Mir payment system cards are accepted.
Alfabank
We will continue to issue new Visa and Mastercard cards. They can be used in Russia to transfer money, withdraw cash and pay in stores. The cards will not work temporarily abroad, but we hope that international payment systems will return, and then the cards will automatically work around the world.
Regardless of what is written on your card, it now works until December 12, 2028. There is no need to reissue the card.

All cards of the Otkritie Bank of the Visa, Mastercard and Mir payment systems that have already been issued or will be issued will continue to operate in Russia without restrictions.
If you have a valid Visa, Mastercard or Mir plastic card, there is no need to open new cards.
VTB
All VTB cards will now be valid indefinitely, there is no need to renew or reissue them. In particular, the cards of foreign payment systems that still operate on the territory of Russia will continue to work. The decision of foreign payment systems to stop working in Russia will not affect the service of VTB customers in the country in any way.
VTB also recommends its customers to use Mir digital cards. The bank records a record growth in demand for them. They allow you to make familiar transactions without restrictions - including paying for purchases with a smartphone and in online stores.
Crown Bank
JSC Bank "Venets" has stopped issuing payment cards of the international payment system "Mastercard".
The current MasterCard Gold and Maestro payment cards continue to operate on the territory of the Russian Federation without any restrictions during their validity period, these cards will not be accepted outside the Russian Federation.
Scheduled and early reissue of Mastercard payment cards will be carried out on payment cards of the MIR payment system.
